Soul Amici Express is a unique carry out cafe offering a full service specialty coffee bar, homestyle breakfast, lunch and dinners "To Go", homemade baked goods plus a delicious catering menu serving an intimate group of ten to a large banquet for hundreds. Our famous "Soul Amici Express" Train Grill is available to rent with a chef grilling up your favorite BBQ for your next outdoor function.
A few years ago, two guys originally from the city of Chicago came up with the concept of serving "Soul" food and "Italian" food together. Henry "Andre" Robinson (Soul guy and Chef) and Anthony "Tony" Di Gianfilippo (Italian guy and Proprietor) put their ideas in motion and Soul Amici Express evolved. Soul, not only is indicative of the type of food but also means from the heart; amici means friends; thus the name evokes the expression of "Friends from the Heart".
Generations of family recipes have been handed down with love, and along with Chef Aaron Aversa, other recipes and new traditions are evolving daily. So come in and try some southern grits, oatmeal, egg sandwiches, ribs, chili, sandwiches, pasta and a whole lot more. Watch for our specials...there's usually something new everyday. Our chefs are always bringing a new creation to the table!
Our Catering menu is designed for any size family or corporate events. We specialize in birthdays, graduations, communions, retirement parties, anniversaries, picnics, BBQs, family reunions and orporate meetings and events. There is not any function we can't do! Our experienced event staff can assist in your rental needs like tents, tables, chairs and linens. We can also arrange entertainment from a balloon twister to a full orchestra. Any other needs...just ask us!
